About the Washington Health Foundation

The not-for-profit Washington Health Foundation was founded in 1992 with the mission of Improving Health for the People of Washington. Today, the Washington Health Foundation is leading the way in making Washington the Healthiest State in the Nation by building Healthy Systems and promoting Healthy Living through involvement of providers, leaders and local communities in the largest civic engagement project for health in state history.

Today, it is the largest civic engagement campaign for health in the history of Washington state — so far involving 35,000 individuals, more than 950 organizations and businesses, and over 350 schools across the state — and more are joining every day.

In 2007, the Washington Health Foundation took this successful program national. Click here to learn more about the national campaign.
