| Family Resources Coordination
The
Family Resource Coordination (FRC) Program is a function of the Community
Health Access Program (CHAP). King County's Lead Family Resources
Coordinator resides at CHAP and can provide information on child development
for King County families with children ages birth to three years.
A CHAP Family Resources Coordinator connects children to screenings
for developmental delays and arranges early intervention services
and supports where necessary.
WHF recently expanded our FRC services by working with the Washington
State Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to extend
family resource coordination to infants and toddlers in foster care.
Children who appear developmentally delayed in one or more areas
are referred to the WHF FRC program for further assessment.
Infants and children are busy learners and growth is important
at each stage of development.
